The last day of the year has arrived, which has quickly gone by, right? Ago nothing grapes were eating us last year and we played the this, if anyway .. time flies. We have lived unforgettable moments this year, and the next will be much better. Through it tonight we'll eat our famous grapes of luck to start the year well, but also can adopt the customs of other places for good luck is double.
We travel with these customs to see the year around the world

The tradition of New Year's followed in Spain is to eat twelve grapes accompanying the twelve bells that announce the arrival of the new year. The origin of this practice dates back 103 springs back when in 1909 there was a surplus harvest and the grapes to take them home on the last night of the year took advantage. Some references suggest that, even in the nineteenth century, bourgeois habit of taking this product for welcome 365 new days had already installed.

The number of grapes matches two key points. First, twelve are the months of the year. In addition, twelve is a time that coincides with the end of the year and the beginning of the next, so that number is loaded with a strong symbolism that the more superstitious augur all good.
Estados Unidos

The romantic tradition the leading United States , a country where you can not miss the midnight kiss . Although not known with precision the origin of this rite , there are explanations for all tastes . The most curious places the start date in Roman times , when during the festival of Saturnalia - dated next to the New Year- kissed all attendees .

Americans believe that there is a kiss just after midnight on the last night of the year ensures 365 days of solitude. Inlcuso no studies on the subject , such as that carried out the Washington Times. In its analysis stated that two-thirds of the U.S. population expected to share New Year 's kiss with someone, and only 10% of them had no expectations of being able to follow the tradition .

The most curious part of the study comes in the time you wanted it to last contact. 69% claimed that the kiss would be a few seconds, while 11 % admitted that the meeting be delayed lip for a minute or two. 6% more daring expected not be separated from your partner until the next morning .
Italia

Symbol of wealth and money, a plate of lentils is a must in any Italian table during New Year's Eve, and this custom gradually settling in Spain goes. The more you eat, the more you earn. A belief that comes from afar, since the Romans gave away earlier this year these pulses with the intention of they became gold coins to increase their purchasing power.

Believe it or not in old superstitions, lentils are a very healthy dish with many nutritional qualities to the body, so it never hurts to eat a bowl of this delicious recipe.
Dinamarca
¿Peligrosa? Sí. ¿Desestresante?

Dangerous?? Yes-stressing? Also. The way in which the Danes welcome the new year is a mixture of these two adjectives. Tradition dictates break the dishes after dinner New Year's Eve. Formerly, and still in some areas-the tableware was stamped into the door of loved ones, who were delighted with the action as it represents love and good omens for the coming year.

Curious also the rite of jumping over a chair at twelve o'clock. This tradition says it brings good luck to anyone who does, so it is not uncommon to see large and small perching the furniture of their houses to attract all the positive predictions are possible.
Filipinas

Such a pattern like polka dots Andalusian is the one used in the Philippines. In this country the moles are associated with coins due to its circular shape. It also links this type of fabric to good luck, so that Filipino dress polka streets during December 31.

No matter the type of clothing that is-dresses, skirts, shirts ... - but it is important that, if possible, wear clothes one pocket. In him a few coins that will sound when the clock announced midnight they will get.
Escocia
Gaiteros, teatro callejero, fuegos artificiales... Un derroche de diversión.

Edinburgh is not content with a single party. This city offers a unique Scottish farewell each year in which limes fill with people startled by the spectacle attended by his eyes. 'Hogmanay' is the name of this celebration fraught with ancient customs of the exact origin is unknown. The word that is baptized to this party also brings head to the experts, who have not precisely determined if is of French origin, Celtic or Norman.

The festival includes a parade of light, fire and actors dressed as Vikings - "Torchlight proccession" - which turns the beautiful Royal Mile, street of Edinburgh. The display of dances "Off Kilter" does not disappoint, that ranges from ancient to contemporary dance with traditional dances 'kilt' "kilt. Pipers, street theater, fireworks ... A riot of fun.
Reino Unido

That Britain is the country of punctuality nobody denies. Some even say that the British have an integrated clock in the stomach. This topic could also extend its year-end traditions, since timeliness is key in the 'first footing'.

This practice is to be the first to visit relatives or friends after they have given the stroke of midnight of the night. The person who comes to the house before the celebration will be the bearer of good luck for the rest of the year. Must be accompanied by some kind of gift-lore stood among them money, bread or coal-to ensure that the family will not have lack thereof.

One day after the New Year, the streets of Cape Town rainbow dress to walk the "Tweede Nuwe-Jaar." Literally, the name given to this carnival has to do with the time that is celebrated, since it means 'Second New Year'.

Hundreds of people come out to enjoy the music, and colorful parades passing through the avenues. Dances, costumes, traditional food ... guaranteed fun in this original year-end celebration that has already become a tradition.

In Japan also fired the year with bells ... but not twelve. The tradition, which is called the "jewel no kane" - requires that during the transition to New Year's Eve touching up to 108 times the bells of Japanese Buddhist temples. With every clang of metal vanishes one of the 108 sins that humans have by default in mind, avoiding the temptation to take them out. These sins would be anger, envy or desire.

Concerning eating habits, it is very typical to eat 'toshikoshi-soba "with the hope that the family fortune extends as much as this kind of long noodles.

  2. Wow!!!!! Excelente nota!!!!
